Anyone seen a pygmy hippo?

While in the “wilds” of the African coast, I’ll be an unoffical supporter of the Zoological Society of London on their EDGE of Existence programme. The aim of the project is to highlight and help conserve species that are Evolutionary Distinct and Globally Endangered, such as the Pygmy Hippo. To do this, the team requires information on things such as range and population size, which is where people like me come in. When travelling through the home range of species like the pygmy hippo, I’ll be asking locals what they know about the animals in the hope of finding out information on sightings and the strength of population. I may even be able to get a photo too.
Check out what you can do to help at http://www.edgeofexistence.org
